Over the last seven Days I have been challenged by a fellow photographer to submit one nature photo each day for seven days. Not being a nature photographer as such, the idea was to inspire me to step outside my comfort zone and look high and low, left and right and photograph the beauty of nature that surrounds us everyday but is often neglected and taken for granted.
I thought it would be difficult, but once I got started I found myself looking at my surroundings differently and with a greater interest. Now I still mightn't be the best nature photographer but I certainly have a greater appreciation of what's around me. I didn't realise Emus like to cool down on a hot day, just like we do; the common old agapanthus that seems impossible to get rid of is quite beautiful as it starts to unfurl; clusters of colourful Koi fish feeding are actually fun to watch. This is what I came up with during my seven day challenge.
