Your challenge this week is to photograph something ‘Sweet.
How will you interpret ‘Sweet’?
Those with a sweet tooth know that sweet is one of the four basic taste sensations that is not bitter, sour or salt. So perhaps you could try out your food photography and styling skills or even pull out the macro lens and photograph interestingly shaped lollies or chocolates, colourful drinks and delicious desserts and cakes or, you named it, sweet potatoes. Natural back or side soft lighting is best for food photography and remember uncluttered backgrounds.
For those who like making sweet, music this is the perfect opportunity for you, as photography and music go hand in hand. Both being creative, you can show your passion for both. Photograph the instruments and musicians closeup and try out creative angles.
Another thought is to give the sense of something sweet smelling, fragrant, perfumed. This could include flowers, spices, perfume etc.
A gesture or person, particularly children are often called sweet.
And my last hint is a sweet ride. Maybe you have that classic car or polished motorbike you take out for a drive or ride on the weekend I show us your sweet ride.
Now it’s time for you to think about these ideas and come up with your own concept of ‘Sweet'. Go and use your imagination, don’t rush and consider composition and lighting, and backgrounds and show us your amazing, creative pictures.
Remember to enjoy yourself and have fun this week. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
